This kid has been a starting QB in the Big-12 for the last 3 years and that in itself holds a lot of value for most scouts. Zach Robinson doesn’t possess solid mechanics but he does have a very lively arm.
He always seems to be looking down the field to make a play and can throw very well on the run. He played in a spread open offense under coach Gundy, who is 40, so scouts want to see how well he handles himself with the center exchange and inside the pocket.
Robinson didn’t really help himself too much in the Senior Bowl with a lost fumble and some questionable decisions but he certainly did not hurt himself either. He shows the ability to manage a pocket
Senior Bowl: Zac Robinson (Oklahoma State) had a good day of practice and puts plenty of zip on his passes. He can move around in the pocket, and he sees the field well. He did fumble/bobble a snap, but that happens quite a bit at these All-Star games. Robinson has good footwork when dropping back and he’s quick to make decisions with the football. He is getting better with his timing. – Draft Guys (01.26.10)
